Job Title: Project Manager & Estimator (New Home Construction)

Location: Fort Wayne

Company Overview:

We are a growing construction company specializing in building new homes. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, custom homes to our clients while maintaining a reputation for professionalism and attention to detail. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Project Manager & Estimator to join our team. This person will play a crucial role in helping to manage multiple construction projects, assist with estimating costs, and provide general administrative and customer service support to ensure smooth project execution.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of residential construction projects.

• Coordinate schedules, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

• Address and resolve issues that arise during construction to avoid delays or disruptions.

• Monitor project progress, provide regular updates, and maintain accurate records of project milestones.

2. Project Estimation:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for new home construction projects, including materials, labor, permits, and other expenses.

• Work with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather cost information and accurately assess project requirements.

• Review plans and specifications to develop accurate pricing and timelines.

 

3. Office Administration:

• Manage office documentation, including contracts, change orders, and permits.

• Assist with invoice tracking and maintaining financial records related to construction projects.

• Support the team with scheduling, organizing meetings, and preparing project-related reports.

• Handle incoming client inquiries, providing them with timely updates on project status.

• Coordinate communication between office staff and field personnel to ensure seamless operations.

4. Collaboration & Reporting:

• Collaborate closely with project superintendents, vendors, and clients to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

• Assist management in tracking project budgets and deadlines, adjusting project timelines as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in project management and/or estimation, ideally within the construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of residential construction processes, materials, and costs.

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse groups

• Ability to identify issues proactively and develop effective solutions.
